pragma Systems develops, sells, and supports processMax^®, the market-leading suite of CMMI-compliant products for process and project management.

We are seeking senior and entry-level software engineers to lead a new phase of development for state-of-the-art commercial intranet products for process deployment and project management. We are building a cohesive team with forward thinking individuals who can apply web technologies to a new architecture being built to support evolving requirements. Every team member has input into each step of the development process.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of the software architecture and data models of a new C# and .NET intranet application
• Provide creative solutions using object-oriented methodologies
• Develop web application components using AJAX, .ASP, C#, .NET, HTML, and XML processing tools
• Actively participate in the full life cycle development process (requirements analysis, design, and maintenance)

Position Requirements

• Software Development experience:
• Four or more years mid-level and senior level
• One to three years entry-level (internships qualify)
• Experience in AJAX, .ASP, C# or .NET web-based application development
• Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and ERD data modeling
• Knowledge of XML, XML APIs, and XML tools
• Knowledge of OO Design Patterns
• At least one year experience with full life cycle methodologies
• Experience with requirements analysis (Experience with Use Cases highly desired)
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, mathematics, physics, or engineering, advanced degree a plus
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proof of US citizenship or authorization to work in the US
• Non-smoker

Desired Additional Experience

• Experience with My SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio, COM, and VBA
• Experience with Microsoft product API sets (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project)
• Familiarity with SEI's SW-CMM, CMMI, or ISO-9000
  

Compensation history must be verifiable. Positions are available in Northern Virginia.
